“They brought Jesus a denarius, and He asked them, ‘Whose image and inscription is this?’ They answered, ‘Caesar’s.’ Then Jesus said, ‘Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.’”

Matthew 22:19-21

In this passage, Jesus is confronted with a trick question meant to trap Him. By asking for the coin and pointing to its image, He exposes their motives and teaches a deeper truth: earthly responsibilities matter, but our ultimate loyalty belongs to God.
