The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the vehicle by which St. Cuthbert’s Church is governed. It is made up of representative members of our church who are all named on the church Electoral Roll (https://www.churchofengland.org/about/leadership-and-governance/legal-services/church-representation-rules/part-1)
The PCC works with and in support of the Focal Minister to promote the mission of the whole Church in the parish and is the main decision-making body in our church. It has a responsibility for the care of our church building and its contents. Additionally, PCC members are charity trustees of the parish and consequently have a financial accountability.
PCC trustees are DBS checked and undergo Safeguarding training.
The current PCC is made up of:
Chair: Dorothy McKenna
Vice Chair: Christine Hill
Secretary: Christine Fairless
Treasurer: Julia Hamilton
Margaret Hickey, Ed Evans (Deanery rep), Denise Mudie, Joanne Ward
